TEAM NEWS AND EVENTS

8/12/09: Avalon's Fury takes 2nd place for "original float" in the annual Tri-County Fair Parade.  Marching in the Parade were: Admiral Nick, Chameleon, Hammer, Grass Hopper, Devil Dog, Dutch, Killa O Doom, Black widow and Medic Mom, and supported by many others.  Avalon's Fury participated in the parade for the first time this year, hoping to boost some local awareness of our team, and what we do.  Avalon's Fury Members who participated staged several "mini" battles during the parade, starting in the center of town.  Kids and Adults alike were excited by our displays, Fury Memebers marching along the crowd allowed childern to fire there markers.  Kids were delighted and serveral teenagers and adults stopped us to ask many questions.  Our largest display was our homemade LAW rocket system, the crowd loved it.  We were thrilled to have supported our community in making this years Tri County Parade have something new for everyone.

 

07.01.09: Fury recently fought long and hard at The s.t.a.g. hosted battle flag game. Overcoming 90% humidity in 80 degree weather, Fury slowly started getting ahead of the enemy in the first half of the game. As the second half started Fury quickly gathered props and flag stations and put a huge gap between the 2 forces. As the Final battle commenced the opposing team called in the big guns. Even with Sammy they couldn't get the points to catch up with Fury. Thanks to skyline and to S.T.A.G. for a fun hard day of paintball. -- Devil Dog
 
05.28.09: Avalon Fury's First offical award was awarded May 9th, 2009 after Fury's Victory over Team Polymer and there affiliates.  The day was a hard fought day for both sides, as flag stations changed from one teams color to the next.  But through Air Strikes, Enemy Snipers and a dug in and hardend Enemy; Avalon Fury's Forces manged to secure an overwelming victory over there opponents (and allies).  The day was filled with sportsmanship and valorous acts on both sides.  We offer our thanks for a great game run by a great team of gentleman, and to our allies for comming out and sticking with it!
 
02.26.09: Well Marti Gras is over, it may have finnally ended Fury's Winning Spree, but It wasn't all Bad.  At the conclusion of the Game Fury had plenty of Promotions, including the most prominate of Captain Jeremiah's Promotion to the Grade of Major, 4000 points with the team takes time and extreme dedication....
 
01.04.09: The NEW YEAR IS HERE!!! and Fury has a calendar full of events stoced and loaded for 2009.  We plan on getting into everything from 24 hour scenario games at a field in Richmond to Heated Scenario Tournaments Hosted by TEAM S.T.A.G.  Plenty is in the mix for some die hard paintball experiences!!!  Let the good times roll thru 2009!!!!
 
12.19.08: Well 2008 is over....sad to see it leave, great year for the team!!!  We gained some new faces, won more games, and got rained on on almost every occasion :).  2008 was awesome!!!!  Lets rock thru 2009!!!
 
11.06.08: What can be said guys, our team rocked out at the HBG!  The day game was intense, and the Nightgame was legendary!  Its hard to accept its over now, with all that fun, excitement and challenge.  Now we have the Holdiday Big Game (HOLBG) comming up soon! December 13th will be here before you know it!  Work continues on our GRINDER FIELD this weekend, come help out if you can, its always appreciated!!!
 
10.20.08: Halloween is right around the corner.  The HBG is the teams biggest event of the year.  If you haven't gotten all the details about this game, nows a good time to catch up!!!  There is another HALO 3 Party scheduled for the eve of the game.  The HBG is going to be great, we are all looking very forward to this one!!!
 
09.25.08: Fury has a bundle of events comming up.  With the anniversary of HALO 3.  The team will be battling it out This Sunday over XBOX live all Sunday long.  We plan to revist the campaign and grab up all the new achievements that the game now offers with the recent 1.2 patch.  The Sunday Following that (5th) is the Powerline big Game.  If you haven't heard all there is to hear about this one, its time to get on our message board and find out.
 
08.17.08: Well I dont know about showing Skyline a thing or two about scenario Paintball, I think the number was alot higher!  We completed every mission but the one that gave us the insiration for the last mission, I'll take a loss like that to have a victory like we did blasting the whiskey!  The seven men we had at skyline not only won us the day, but really showed what Fury is about, TEAMWORK and a good time.  We didn't win that game because we are better then they were, they had a pro paintballer on there team for the last round for crying out loud.  We won for all the right reasons: Teamwork, better communication, concern for each other and some kick butt suppressive fire, thanks again lurch for covering me for that kill.  Look at our whole day, there was no glory moment for any of us that didn't credit the rest of the team, each time we completed a mission, it was because everyone was doing there part, rather then try to take all the glory.  If we were just a group of people playing together before this, we are definaly a team now!!!  We already have our next event planned for september, opt-in now.  Don't forget about the haloween game comming up next on Novemeber 1st!
 

07.31.08: I want to put out a big thanks to our first HALO 3 Party first Party in my house, and my only bachelors party.  A Huge thanks to becky for throwing this for me, You guys are awesome.  I loved seeing you all up here and I know everyone enjoyed the Pizza and H3 Action.  This is a Tradition we have to keep alive guys!!!  Thanks to everyone who help with Mine and Christina's Wedding, I couldn't have asked for a better group of guys (and gal) to see me through a pivotal day in my life, I wanted to give a nice speech at the end of the rehersal and thank everyone, but things got a bit screwy and everyone started leaving before I had the chance, but I think that the above just about somes up my feelings...Lets get ready to show Skyline a thing or two about Scenario Paintball!!!!!

 

06.15.08: Another one of a kind adventure at our last Big Game at Skyline Paintball, we have returned yet again victorious in our Big Game Campaign.  The day went well for both armies, but in the end the autobots gained control of the alspark and won.  This game marked my first commision as a General.  Our army did very well and all of the teams down there, EZ Company and Iron Horses, you all did very well.  It was nice to have my first game as general go as well as it did, even if it did Storm on us, those that remained fought hard and valorously!  Fury we really put our name out there, it was a great day for the team, you all did great!  Next Big game comming up is the Whiskey Militia, get ready for some more BIG GAME ACTION!!!

 

05.22.08: Great work on another awesome sunday at skyline.  Lets not forget how great we performed as a team during that defensive sorte at stronghold, I think that was by far our greatest moment as a team!  Work now turns to testing our newest field "POWERLINE" within the next 2 weeks we hope to fight more then a few battles at our newest field.  After that efforts turn towards the STAG hosted Transformers Big Game on June 14th.  Again Great work at skyline men, you all should be proud of yourselves!

 

05.11.08: After two successful weekends fought on the Field of Fury, our field is now battle tested and player approved.  I'm sure that we will make more changes as we attempt to keep a speed ball feel on parts of the field, with a classic woodsball setup dominating portions of the coarse.  Thanks to all the players that helped us get set up!!!!  This comming weekend we will be rolling back out to Skyline for yet another Major Skirmish.  We hope to head down with at least 6 players strong and make our name heard!

 

04.23.08: Another Great Battle fought at skyline, Great work Fury!!! Epsilon Squad prevaled overal all by the end of the day, a big thanks to all those we competed against for some awesome sportsmanship and integrity out there!!!!  Way to kick our butts a few rounds and not get up on yourselves about it!  We had a flawless attack on the castle with the Assult medal being awarded to Jeremiah, Corey and Erin for there first time and My Second Assult medal and flag cap on the castle field.  POR really worked well on Castle "D" as we all but won the round.  STRONGHOLD is an awesome new level that really kicks some butt.  Right now they are playing it as a center "neutral base" map, our team managed to win both rounds fought there!!! Some awesome tactics on our part!!! We even got that little devil that RAN!!!!  A great finish with an outstanding last round on town!!! A perfect Flank and some A+ Sniping by miah!!! Way to go Corey and Erin on your first Major Skirmish!!! I look forward to more!!!!  Now lets gear back up and get ready for this weekend!!!!  Hopefully this time it wont rain the whole time :)

 

04.06.08: A Valorous Return from skyline...Altough our names were not renown by many there we each know what we did to win the day.  A great job holding our ground at EWOK and at STRONGHOLD guys...You all are fantastic and deserve more recognition for your valant efforts and achievements during our fight down there.  A great take over of the TOWN for that last game, WE dominated the OPFOR and really racked up the kills and were critical in accomplishings at least 4 of the main missions for our army.  Again Great work!!!  We had a great time and look forward to future such events!!!  The action continues though...Even now planning for an April and May event is in progress...Log on to the forum now and find out more!!!

 

03.17.08: Prepration is all but complete, practices have helped to teach our Cats team some fundamentals of teamwork...Efforts to construct our HQ continue.  New information has been updated on the forum, and request have been sent into BlackCats Admin for our team assignments for the scenario.  Our team will be leaving at 8:00am Friday morning of the 28th.  Thursday night will be hosting the usual gamming party until sack time.  All Members welcome!!

 

03.07.08: Well our team is but 21 days from game date.  Efforts continue to prepare for Blackcats 08, as practice pushes on.  We have alot going on this month, check back often for the complete LOWDOWN.

 

 

01.30.08: Lee has uncovered yet another defining moment captured forever in part of our Holiday Tournament Campaign.....

A Glorious Moment as the Lt. Col. Lee ends the siege of the Ewok Fort in a Bang winning the round with absolute victory for Avalon's Fury and thier Allies!!!! See all of the updated Holiday Tournament Pics in our gallery!!!!  
Next up on the planning board for Avalon's Fury is the upcomming Black Cats Scenario at Skyline March 28th - 30th... where we will battle to save the human race against all odds from the forces of Evil, get ready for our biggest game yet!!!!!!!!!!

 

01.06.08: Well with the new year here we have forged deep into construction ideas on our "Field of Fury"  We have held our first home field exercise with success.  We intend to continue to try to create the most entertaining and fun set up as possible for our field.  We have started up our "Air Field or Bust" Pot.  Avalon's Fury now has a my space page to further reach out into the community, although now it is little more then a come see our site page, work continues...  This Year is already talking of having a good many fun and exciting Paintball and Gaming Challenges ahead, so lets get to it!

 

12.23.07:  Website is finished with it recent update.  Continuing to grow and expand its horrizons, the site now host a bundle of goodies to feast on.  The changes include individual personnel pages with Weapons, Stats, BIO and a link to achievements earned in the line of battle.  A new link has been added in the navigation bar for all of our team pictures taken on the battlefield of paintball.  The Home page now host a wide variety of team related links, including a look at all of the current achievements and the squad leader board, showing member valor and rank.  Keep checking our forum for battle and gaming updates.  There are always decisions to be made, let me here your voice.
